De ontwikkelaar omschrijft Vikings: Wolves of Midgard, die zich afspeelt ten tijde van de mythologische conflicten rondom Asgard, als volgt:

Legend has it, that when the coldest winter descends, the Jotan will return to take their vengeance against the Gods of Asgard. The world is on the road to perdition and the fate of Midgard hangs in the balance. But when the Fire and Frost Giants begin to merge their armies, they encounter the clan of the Ulfung – the Wolves of Midgard. Bloody, but unbowed following the destruction of their village, this notorious band of ostracized Viking warriors are determined to seize their destiny and save the world. As clan chief, you must save Midgard from complete annihilation, and spearhead the charge to vanquish the fiendish creatures of the Fimbulwinter.

Vikings: Wolves of Migard zal begin 2017 verschijnen op de PC, Xbox One en PlayStation 4 en brengt ons naar de kust van Midgard; een wereld gebaseerd op de mythologie en de historie van Vikings. We strijden tegen de Jotan, hordes ondode monsters en andere ontelbare beesten van Ragnarok. Je kunt dit zowel alleen doen als met een vriend samenwerken via de online coöperatieve multiplayer mode. Dit doe je niet met je blote handen, je kunt gebruik maken van wapens als zwaarden en schilden, hamers en bijlen die je met twee handen moet hanteren en bogen. Hoe meer bloed je laat vloeien, hoe beter de krachten die je vrij speelt. Tevens is er een New Game+ mode om al deze krachten vanaf het begin in te gebruiken, en een Trials of the Gods mode waarin de beste krijgers diverse beloningen kunnen verkrijgen.
